Link with the Diocese of Swansea & Brecon
Bishop Cyril is delighted to advise that a formal link process has begun with the Rt Revd John Davies and the Diocese of Swansea & Brecon in South Wales, UK. Bishops Cyril and John were once contemporaries at St Michael's College, Llandaff, and the present desire to form a companion link has grown out of support from Swansea & Brecon for the Mampong Babies' Homes.
Swansea & Brecon was founded as an independent diocese in 1923 and is comprised of the second city of Wales, Swansea, and rural towns and villages leading north towards central Wales. It is hoped that exchanges of clergy and lay people will foster a deepening of understanding and fellowship between the two Dioceses and that the companion link will be richly blessed in the coming years.

BEHOLD I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW
As a Diocese we stand at the threshold of what we can do for the Lord and how we can do it to the best of our ability and to the greater glory of God. Ours is a calling to lay a good and solid foundation for the future fortunes of the Diocese and for posterity.
I have chosen this theme for this maiden special synod to emphasise the fact that as we start this maiden journey as a Diocese we have the promise of God behind us. We are also reminded that it is not us, who can accomplish anything but it is the Good Lord working in us will accomplish all we desire and hope to do.
It is the pleasure of the Bishop in consultation with Synod to create the following parishes. This is a strategic move to ensure that growth is induced in certain areas. The parishes are to plan towards their inauguration as full parishes in the course of the year.
It is the intention of the Bishop to upgrade and post clergy to the following churches within two years:
